The Team

Plano Senior High School’s Speech and Debate team is a highly competitive program in North Texas, offering courses in debate and speech that emphasize critical thinking, research, and public speaking.  The team is an inclusive and diverse team of over 35 students that competes on the state and national circuits, with recent top-six finishes in state championships. 

In the 2025-2026 season, team members have excelled at top-tier events such as the 37th Annual Grapevine Classic and the UIL Congress State Championship, placing high in Congressional Debate, Dramatic Interpretation, and Extemporaneous Speaking.
